SAN FRANCISCO & BACK
We opted for Highway 101 instead I-5 south from Tacoma to San Francisco, mostly for pleasure, but partly to excuse Ponderosa (our little 1974 Toyota Chinook) from the steep passes she'd need to climb at a slow and steady 45mph. The first half of our trip it poured. We had our fingers crossed that all leaks were fully patched up at this point with the coastal rain really coming down. Just south of Tillamook, OR the rain stopped, the fog cleared and the coast was bathed in beautiful sun for the rest of the trip!
We made it to San Francisco right on time to set up for the West Coast Craft show that weekend. It was such an amazing show full of talented makers and we really loved the artwork incorporated throughout the space. We were thankful to have lightened our campers load since the next week was spent roaming Marin, Sonoma and a little bit of Mendocino County until we headed back south for the Renegade show the next weekend.
We explored so many beaches and trails, walked around some incredible small towns and drove our little camper up some nerve racking single lane high country roads. It was amazing to explore some of our favorite places on the west coast. Below are some highlights from the trip.
